LSA supposedly makes 8 psi which equates to 9.62L NA to make 400kw at the engine.. the v6 would have to be a lot more efficient.
Which emphasises how inefficient a stock LSA is..

VEGTS BUILT BLOWN E85
stock LSA has a detuned cam in it and less boost so that it didnt make more power then the LS9

Possibly true, but the potential for big gains for relatively minimal $$ can't be ignored. Stock LSA is hardly a slug anyway.

Inefficient or conservatively built, tuned and configured for reliability?
All OEM engines are conservatively built and tuned with reliability in mind. But bottom line is the LSA is very inefficient in terms of its power to displacement ratio - in its stock form.

modified is a different story..

But to say that the 3.6L can't make 400kw because "an LSA only makes 400kw" is nonsense. Probably the worse comparison to come up with as a basis for that assumption.

The point being, if you want that sort of power along with reliability - the V6 isn't the way to go about it.

Better off saving for an lsa conversion if you want that sort of power. OR going down the road of forced induction with another ls based engine for power vs cost vs reliability factor.

The LF4 engine "only" makes 346KW from 18psi and two turbos.

Which is what the OP was asking about, but others seem to be going a different direction
