Sv6 VE Z
Hey guys
I recently bought a 2012 Sv6 Ve Z series ute.

Out of curiosity, do any of yous have modified one of them?
And if so what sort of performance did you get?

If not should I bother modifying it?

Thanks :))

Yes pretty much every SV6 owner here has fiddled with them.

If you're prepared to spend $5000+ on it, mod away. Otherwise, just keep is as is.

Forced induction is what i was meaning.

$300 for an intake
$500 for a catback
$300 for cats
$1000 for cams
$1000 for a tune

So give or take, $3100 just in parts excluding labour.

Orrrrr old mate can drop $5000 on a charger kit, install and tune and have much more fun.

I'm confused, where did the OP say they wanted to do all that?

He asked what performance was gained from various mods.

Frenchy, I'd start off with an exhaust and/or CAI and go from there, fitting is quite easily done by yourself.

He actually didn't state what he wanted to do lol just what others had done, and what performance gains. And if said gains are worth doing.

VE SV6 manual
I just ran a catback 2.5 system on my manual.

Dropped fuel economy to 7.2 litres per 100 on the freeway, little more throttle response - but still wouldnt beat an AMG ;)

i have a VCM OTR (arguebly the best for SIDI) and i wouldn't recommend one if your chasing power, they sound awesome though. If you want torque get a set of manifold insulators from mace engineering, you'll defiantly feel the difference. Worth every cent
