This car just had a service 3rd since coming off the factory line. Today I pulled off one of the hoses and discovered a **** load of oil. I pulled off the ir intake from the throttle body and found about a tablespoon of oil as well. What do you think considering its still under warranty, shouldn't this be discovered in its 3rd service??
Long read but I will install my catch can soon. Post 89 http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/ve-holden-commodore-2006-2013/102900-sv6-oil-catch-can.html
The PCV system is working as intended. If youre concerned about the amount of oil in there, use a catch can. But a teaspoon sounds perfectly normal.
Average service doesn't involve taking off inlet piping or looking at the throttle body (just a filter change), that's probably why they haven't discovered it. If it's still under warranty ask Holden, you won't get a definitive answer here.
