MY09 V8 VE Calais V 60th Anniversary Edition
Hi all,
Finally after 4 trips back and forth to Holden over the last 5 months they have found what was causing the Service Vehicle Soon warning to pop up on startup. Apparently the PIM module was faulty. Apparently the PIM module communicates information to the body computer and the ECU. I pick the car up on Saturday. I just hope that's it and nothing else. If anyone ever gets this warning and car seems fine. I suggest you get them to check this first as my other trips to Holden to sort it out ended up being a waste of time as they thought it was just needing a software update.

If I stall my car.. (manual, so dont give it enough revs etc, or accidently go off clutch while its in gear with handbrake on) it goes "Service Vehicle Soon", then you start it again, runs for 3 seconds, then dies.

Its back again tomorrow as the drivers side front speaker stopped working on the weekend and the front door lock button is not going all the way up!! Im starting to wonder if I should have kept my VX Calais series 2. It had 168,000 on it before I sold it and never had issues with it.

Heh, mines started screwing up,

Turn highbeam on, then off, drop's 3 channels of the stereo... only drivers side works.

Flick em around again, they turn back on.

All fixed again. Apparently the speaker was faulty and a sealed unit so they simply just throw away the old one and poped a new one in for me. Also replaced the lock snip thingy. It had come off the lock rod or something. Fingers crossed no more issues. Im considering a VE Calais V when they are released....

VZ Berlina and VT SS Supercharged V6
Hi everyone first time poster here and have recently come back to the holden stable. and have the Service Vehicle Soon reminder coming up on every start and also every time i come to a complete stop for example at lights. Could anyone shed some light on the subject. I have an 04 V6 berlina with 203,000 ks on the clock. Vehicle other wise is perfect jsut for the annoying chime and the reminder.

Could this be the PIM module ? could anyone hazard a guess at a cost?

Cheers

they are about $300 for a new PIM,about another $80 to have it installed correctly... not really worth the money cos your car is out of warranty by now

unfortunetly for you, you will have to pay for the cost of the fix from holden as your car is well past its warrenty,

can i ask how is your vz going after 200,000?
