Hi, I have a VZ 2005 executive (auto) and have recently had the 135,000 service a few thousand km's before 135k (not by holden). Very recently everytime i turn my car on it beeps and displays - service vehicle soon and i press mode to get rid of it, then it displays SVS in the top right corner while I drive then it will beep and dispay again nearly evertime I pull up to lights. Its so annoying and ive tried everything to get rid of it but when I do the below instructions ive listed it doesnt work and even displays theres nothing to be reset. I turn the ignition on again and what do you know....it displays again!!! Can anyone help me cause firstly its pissin me off and secondly im trying to sell the car and doesnt look good when it keeps saying it needs a service when its had one...pls help.

Ive tried the below but doesnt work...any other mech out thier have an answer??????

    1. Turn the ignition OFF.
    2. Hold down the trip computer UP and DOWN buttons together.
    3. Turn the ignition ON while still holding down both buttons.
    4. After approx 3 seconds, release both buttons.
    5. The service menu appears and asks if you want to reset.
    6. Press and hold the SET button for more than 3 secs.
    7. Press the MODE button.
    8. Turn ignition OFF.

If it won't go away even after a reset then that usually means you have a problem in the system, the most common of which is the oil pressure sender switch.
Do a search as it has been discussed quite a few times.

SVC, which is the one you clear using that method, is in fact for vehicle service. SVS, means service vehicle soon, but should mean something different. Usually, it's a sensor gone bad, and can be cleared by holden once the faulty sensor is replaced.

    Good luck.
