KW doesn't mean much.

That 190kw is made at 6500rpm. Where normally you wouldn't reach anyway in everyday driving. Revving them hard is the only way to extract the power from them

As suggested already, get the car serviced, check for faults, pay attention to the air filtration and engine electronics. Once everything is serviced and checked next ascertain if the engine is performing to Holden specification. Be realistic with your expectations. Vehicle might require dyno testing. Trying to evaluate performance without a 'benchmark' is pointless and will only result in 'heart break'. Good luck.

Well just have to learn to live with it btw as a lifetime holden fan I'm pretty disappointed since this would be the worst performing v6 I've ever owned (had 4).

If you get a tune they can remove torque management which will give it more punch lower down.
I know a few who have had it done and say it brings the engine to life.

Did you not test drive the car before buying it?

Either way its an a to b engine tuned for economy not going fast. It's never going to blow your mind in a big heavy commodore without lots of money spent on it.

If you have a spare grand, get a cold air intake and a custom tune.
Makes a world of difference.

I recently had a faulty ignition coil in my SV6. It's replacement has made a dramatic difference to the cars acceleration, general drivability and improved fuel economy.

It had been slowly deteriorating over a period of months until it finally failed.

If you have the knowledge, disconnect each ignition coil's power connector in turn, and watch/listen carefully to the idle quality and exhaust note.
When there is a minimum of difference then that coil is possibly the culprit.

There were no DTCs when the coil was slowly failing..

The car is idling perfectly (500rpm), when at the lights you don't even know the car is running so could it still have faulty coils?
