swapping vt 5l with vs 5l

Ah yeh they dont have one,obviously its an aftermarket modification.
Also you would be running a custom code to run it.
Its not like an ls1 where they use both they come from the factory with maf only.
Never said it couldnt be done just not worth it for the outlay.
How much did it cost you?
Lot of stuffing around for a worthless vt commodore imo.

It doesn't matter what it cost and the "stuffing around for a worthless VT Commodore".....well, fair enough, that's your opinion.
I'm more than happy with it.

Vt 5.0s arent worth much thats what i was getting at, obviously
its worth more to you,from my experience they are just not an
ideal project car,**** irs,maf only,big heavy car etc.
Better of with an ls1 imo.

Oky doky.... All engine mods done at 94,000 Km. High flow custom manifold and twin 60mm T/B, Pacemaker extractors & 2 1/2 in cat back, Crane 88241 roller cam,
heads hand ported/polished & port matched to inlet manifold.
VCM otr, Yella Terra roller rockers, custom mafless tune...All up around...$8500 or there about.
With mine being a 195i SS, the weight of the car is only 1400 Kg. Much lighter than the other VT's.
It's just me, but I love the Aussie V8.

Having owned and built a 355 myself they do sound and go great.
So has it been dynoed,1/4 mile?? manifold looks interesting i saw that
on the other forum.

I haven't run the 1/4. I think the 304's sound better than the ls1's.
I know the 304's wont go as hard as the ls1's but I don't know, there's just something about them.
The manifold was hand made by Chip Control.
Considering it was only 120 rwkw stock, (161 rwhp) there has been a marked improvement to get it to nearly 204 rwkw (273rwhp)
It's approx. 254 Kw (340 hp) at the fly wheel
