Hello,

Recently got new bushes/link pins for front sway bar on my VU and now my front bar is hitting every bump in the road it never use to.
Is there any way the new pins can change the ride height of the car?
Ive been told they cant/shouldnt yet the scraping started straight after the pins were changed.

*they are not genuine parts - which i found out after they were done

Thanks

I can't see how they could alter the height.

Were the new link pins the same length as the old ones?

Link pins can't change the car height....They go inbetween the sway bar and lower control arm....In a nutshell, they hold the sway bar to the control arm and you could have it "swinging in the breeze" as such....Wouldn't do much for handling though

I agree that replacing the Link Pins can't change the ride height of the car

But your description on their fitment is wrong, the Link Pins definitely do not connect the sway bar to the lower control arm

The link pins actually connect the sway bar to the strut

Pretty much nobody uses genuine parts for suspension, they're usually significantly more expensive and the aftermarket is usually better anyway or an OE supplier in the first place.

Take the wheel off and throw some pics up.

You haven't installed the sway bar upside down by any chance? Don't even know if that's possible on a VU (LOL).

It's all good mate, we all make mistakes

Good onya for realising I was just correcting a woops, and not trying to shoot you down
Which we know can be hard to do on a car forum, as the written word can sometimes be taken the wrong way
