I'm looking at upgrading the front and rear sway bars on my VY, but I wanna know which way I should be looking. I've got two questions:

1) What is the weight (and general specs) of the standard sway bar?

2) Should I prioritise the front or rear sway bar (if I should prioritise at all)? The front seems more logical to me.

The weight of the sway bar makes #### all difference to performance if that's what you are worried about.

Do you do circuit work?

Size matters, the bigger the bar the better, and if you want it to drive like it is on rails, then go big on front and rear, as abba says nuff said really.

Yeah not that simple.

Different sway bars needed for different application. Bigger is not always better. As with all things, its about finding the right balance for application.

Too big a sway bar will work against the spring rate and shocks. You need to match everything to the application. Having a car that "corners like it's on rails" may be good for the track, but unless you run racing compound tyres, it's no good for the road. You need some body roll to make the suspension work and keep the tyres at the optimum angles for the correct contact patch.

I'm just looking to eliminate some body roll and improve steering response. I don't really thrash it around corners.

I'm looking at the 30mm front and 18mm rear Whiteline sway bars.

Just get the adjustable white line ones, that way if its too soft/hard you can change it
