Went to buy some new swaybar link pins as the rubbers on mine are shagged so i thought may as well replace the whole lot . Told the guy it was a VX series 1 . When he showed me them they were the wrong ones . Mine have the bushes at one end and the ball joint in the other end ,where the one he showed me had bushes at both ends .
He said i must have a series 2 as they have the ball joints . Told him it was a series 1 build in late 2000. but he said it can't be ,or some one had changed the swaybar to a series 2 . They are the origional ones that were on the car when i bought it 5 years ago and prior to that it was a sales reps car . So just wondering if the series 1 uses the ball joint type or the other type .

My Calais is a series 1 VX and has the link pins with the ball joint at one end. My Calais only had 49000Ks on it when i bought it so i dont think anyone would have swapped sway bars on it. Must have been early series 1 that had bushes both ends.

All VX models should have a ball joint on the stabiliser bar according to my Holden Maintenance CD.

The Nolathane catalogue is wrong, VX have ball joint/bushes.

^^ correct, same as VY. VZ had the ball joints both ends, although, I have in my VY, standard sway bar, a set of WSC link pins with ball joints on both ends, direct fit. These are made like this, for the VY, and so far they're great.
