Hi all, I'm new to driving a duel fuel car and I was wondering which is better.

- Rev up to 1,500rpm, then switch to Gas while stationary;
or
- Do the same as above, but while in motion.

I've done a combination of both, but I just want to know which is better and which procedure you do on your car.

Thanks

yeah try and get a switch with 3 settings 1 for gas on 1 of cut off fuel and 1 for fuel..

so if u start it on fuel then switch the pump off with the 2nd setting then wait till it cuts out then switch it straight to gas then fire it up no probs..

or if u want to run it on gas most of the time and its hard to start up in the morning.
run a primmer button on ur dash. then it primes the gas then it will fire up..

hope this helps ive been doing gas for a while now had a dual fuel setup but converted it to straight gas..

Either of the methods you've suggested is fine. I would just be inclined to try each method several times to see which seems to work best with your setup and then just stick with that. When I drive a car on gas I tend to do it while moving.
