Might not this situation have arisen because his alleged source is an American who had access to the e-mails within the US diplomatic circles? Perhaps if he'd had access to Russian or North Korean diplomatic material, they would have been outed too.

I doubt it. The agenda is clear going by the leaks that are released.

You have to admit, some of the quotes give him plenty of ammunition for ridicule - particularly the sort of comments made about Rudd and the idiotic statements Rudd made to Hilary about China. Why the hell are these things recorded anyway? If you're going to record things like this, be prepared for the flak when it gets into the media.

And even though he may have access to material from Russia or NK, it's possible they were more guarded in what they transmitted and therefore, less likely to be of great interest to the media. I seriously doubt that North Korea would communicate too much with the US or any of her allies on confidential issues.

The way NK is at present, about the only message they would send the US would go "Ten, nine, eight, seven etc"
