I'm looking at buying a VG that has 5speed, but the 3rd gear synchro is gone. Does anyone know how hard this is to fix, or how much it would cost to get professionaly done. Also anything else i should be looking out for when looking at the VG ute.
hmm, does would it have to be rebuilt? Im looking at buying this car to save money on fixing up the VK, but if its a grand just for the gear box, then id be better off putting a grand into the vk.
I dont think you would need to rebuild it, just replace that one synchro. What i got done was basicaly replacing everything except the actural gears themself.
