How hard would it be to fit a T5 in to a VT? The only problems I can see is regarding the shifter matching up with the hole in the floor. Can the original auto drive shaft be used as it also has a splined end? If not would a VS manual drive shaft fit in a VT? Can anyone provide me with a measurement of the total length of a V6 T5 and also the measurement from bell housing to shifter. I know with fords you need to replace the whole pedal box if you want a clutch pedal. Is it the same with a Commodore or can you just add a clutch pedal? Also could a VS clutch pedal be used as then a clutch cable can be used instead of hydraulics. Cross member might be an issue but I don't think it would be too difficult to modify the auto one. I'm not too concerned about the ECU as my car will soon be on LPG.

its not worth the messing around..... the old tail shaft has to be split and lengthened, front yolk has to be changed to suit the T5.... its probably easier to convert the cable clutch system to hydraulic setup then no messing around with making a pedal box to fit on the firewall..... then you gotta adapt a speedo sender unit and lengthen the reverse light switch loom.... its probably just easier to find a getrag box and go from there....
