t5 or getrag in a vt eco?

    THIS WILL HAVE BEEN COVERED ALREADY BUT, i want to do a conversion but i keep getting told different storys... do i run the t5 or getrag?... some people say only the t5 will bolt up and work, but searches come up as getrag... im confused haha... can someone that has actually done the conversion help me before i blow money on the wrong set up..... thanks heaps guys

    i owned a manual 6 banger with a getrag in it and it was a lovely box! shouldnt be a problem bolting it up at all

    T5 is a cable clutch setup Getrag is hydraulic clutch setup.

    it would be a fair bit of customization to retrofit a cable clutch setup into a VT.. Just like it would be a fair bit of customization to setup a hydraulic clutch on a t5 box but in saying this it has been done.

    To use standard parts to convert your auto v6 vt to manual you want the Getrag.
