Ok guys I got the go ahead from the boss (wife :) hahah I'm doing a manual conversion on my vu despite her being scared I'm going to destroy it I'm a truck mechanic so I don't really see how hard it can be. I finally purchased a conversion out of a vy clubby and ill throw some pics up along the way

I just had a question about the wiring if anyone else has done this what do I do with the wires I plan on keeping my ecu in there. I have done a bit of research and all I have got from it is i need to bridge the neutral switch is that all?

Any help would be appreciated.

You will also have to hook up the wiring for the speed sensor and you will have to wire in the reverse lock out solenoid.
You will also have to have the tune modified to stop the PCM thinking it is still an auto and you will need to have the speed sensor re-calibrated so the PCM sees the correct speed.

Won't the speed sensor just plug in? And reverse lock out solenoid? What do you mean by that?

reverse lock out solenoid is just so you can't accidently select reverse at speeds over 5km/h

Trust me, you want a reverse lock out. 5th gear gate can be easily missed and if you do that you will try to get reverse.
If you don't want to bother getting the ecu setup for it, then just hard wire it to a switch and turn it on and off as required.

Ok we'll stuff it here I went. I got the clutch pedal in today I left the old brake pedal in because I was lazy I decided I would just cut the old one down with a hack saw and file and if I destroy it ill change it later.

Now we removed the exhaust and drive shaft disconnected all the wires and pulled the starter of to undo the torque converter bolts box should be out shortly.
