T56 gearbox into series 1 Vt manual

Hey guys just wondered if anyone knows what mods might be needed to do away with my 5spd getrag box on my series 1 VT 5.0L( which feels like it belongs on a tractor!) and fit a series 2 VT onwards 6spd t56 gearbox from the 5.7L. Only had the car 3 weeks and I am disappointed with how the gearbox feels compared to a mates T5 VS ss, so if the t56 will fit straight in I'm gonna go looking!

i believe the getrag on the v8's is cable driven from memory? where as the T56 is hydraulic..... thats the first problem i see, second problem is tail shaft probably wont fit as the 2 box's im sure knowing murphy's law will be 2 different sizes, and thridly the bellhousing.... though i believe it might be the same pattern! u may be in luck!!

the tremec t56 gearbox bolt pattern is different to the t5 getrag
