Hi I have a 01 vx ss with a T56 manual 6 speed box with 213xxx and as far as i know its the original box.
This is the 1st manual ls1 i have owned all previous have been auto and want to treat it rite and give it a full service.
Was reading that dex 3 is the best is this true as I'm a lil sceptic about putting ATF in a manual?
For the most part it seems pretty straight forward
Release from bottom bolt
Fill to top bolt
Now what I'm not sure about is I seen mentioned that to get the full 4.4L in you have to remove revers sensor.
Is removing the sensor a easy job and where is it and how do I remove it to get the extra 400ml in?
Big Thanks in advance to any help

2007 ssv manual
These boxes normally have atf in them mate that’s how they come from factory but Penrite pro gear 70w75 is a far better oil to run in them it’s a light manual gearbox oil specifically for these gearboxes and to replace it just dump the old stuff and fill the whole lot thru the reverse sensor hole just need a ring spanner to remove it I forget what size
