gday,
im putting a v8 t700 behind my small block chev and thought this my be the best place to ask.
the transmission is a vn/vp unit which i understand has a lock up torque converter which is electronically controlled. i was going to put the following wiring kit in the transmission to make it lock up.

Bowtie Overdrives

before ordering i thought id take the trans sump off to have a look, and found that it has no wiring nor the solenoid. it has the pressure switch but it is not wired up. why is this so? could it be that the converter is not factory and is not a lock up unit? there are 2 numbers on the converter, R18 and 27218. what is the go? will the wiring kit b fine to go in? will i need a different converter?
thank you
