tacho fit to ute dash

can any one advise me if the sedan instrument cluster fits the ute dash,as my vs series 3 ute has no tacho, also does the loom contain the neccersary wiring?

i should think so blade, i did this same thing in my VG ute ages ago, cluster out of an s pack sedan. things may have changed since then, but you should be able to plug straight in

If you get a cluster out of a VS it should swap over without a problem.

Yes, I had a similar issue with my ute not having a tacho/revs. So I replaced the cluster out of my Series 3 basic model vs 2000 ute and put in a series 2 sedan vs cluster. It was a straight bolt on. The 3 connectors in the rear of cluster fit perfectly. Now i can see my revs.
