Tacho not working

VX series 2 Acclaim Wagon, 3.8 FE2 suspension
I just got vs, it has just been converted to 5 speed manual. Now the tacho doesnt work,I dont think RPM up of the flywheel, any help appreciate

could be as simple as a faulty transmission speed sensor or something major get it looked at by a mechanic if possable. Did you do the convert? or buy it like so?

The tacho signal comes from the ignition coil. Make sure you don't have any loose connections like in the attached diagram:
