    Hi all,
The last 2 days the tacho in my Statesman has started bouncing on the way to work then eventually drops to 0 and stays that way for 5 min. Then it will shoot up and appear to be working again. It has done this a few times now, starts with the needle bouncing, almost like it is sparking the signal through a loose wire or similar.
Is there anything obvious I could check, assume its a direct line from tacho to distributor, no relays or fuses or anything so simple?
    thanks
    Ben
