Body number shows an Elizabeth SA build
1J052 D - Dulux paint line Alpine White from memory
Eng - L14 = 6cyl 202 carb
Trans - M40 = trimatic
Axle GU5 = diff ratio (BW diff) 3.23

I suppose there is no way to link the chassis serial number from the tags? I suppose that is on of the problem with the record keeping on these old cars.

The other tag has chassis number.

And the 8 denotes Holden in GM speak.

VKs have 2 tags near the strut tower. Do you mean the other large tag not shown in the pics?

Yes. Its on the lower right, AVK or something like that. Has to be same as on the passenger side strut tower.

no... the stamped AVK or BVKxxxx number on the strut tower relates to the 'model' count
the 'body' number is a counter for the VAP (Pagewood, Dandenong etc) ..... so they are never the same

What is VAP? Is the "body number" on the tag? The stamped number on the strut tower is not a "VIN"? What does "matching tags" mean?
