Take care on the road. My dream was shattered this afternoon. Would you believe I was coming home after giving 662 grams of plasma which can save a burns or accident victims life when this happened. A guy was doing a U and didn't see me. He destroyed my car. I hope I can get it repaired. The guy said he had no insurance or money. Great, not.
I was simply minding my own business. Wasn't speeding. Doing about 45 down a hill.
Just take extra care especially in heavy traffic. One single second can change a lot of things.

Have you got insurance man? Third party fire and theft will cover it as long as it wasnt your fault....unless you didnt take that clause for some reason.

Yeah 3rd party. I just hope it won't be written off as it has more value to me than anything. I got out of the car and said to the guy "look what you've done to my car". He virtually said nothing. Maybe he was as shocked as I was.

I could feel my panels and stuff crunching when I hit. I was hoping when I saw him all within 2 seconds, "please don't hit him".

45 might not seem much but panels aren't that heavy. They crumple pretty easily when there is a heavy load behind it like my car. I did a huge double door crumple on his side.

I hit a wallaby once doing 50km/hr. That smashed up my front right bumper and wrecked my headlight and indicator in my old car.

Who knows. I did a 10 metre skid, so I probably hit him at much less than the travelling speed.

I think as long as there is no serious structural damage you should be right man. Best of luck with it anyway :thumbsup:

sorry to hear about the car. As long as you got his details, you could possible even take him to small claims court, maybe even victims of crime (not sure what the criteria is)


Why did you pass out? Can you explain what that is? (obviously different to giving blood yes/no?)
