Last week I got a lot of tar spots down the left side of my car doing a 700k round trip for work. I washed the car yesterday in preparation for removing the spots today.
I have a few different paint prep products and they will all take the coating off the paint.
I bit the Bullitt and thought I will tape up around each tar spot so as to minimise removing the Kamakaze ISM coat I applied 7 weeks ago.
So while taping up, I accidentally taped up over a tar spot. When I pulled off the tape, the tar spot came off too, winning.
I think the ISM coat has a lot to do with the ease in which the tar spots came off, but I am very happy with the result.
