Hey mace
What sort of problems would I expect if I lost this? Haha...
The car is acting like it has a manifold intake leak (short burst of air before revving)
I had a look and installed a gasket for the tb and checked the o ring, that was fine, also sealed the plenum but still happens.
I've noticed that I had lost the little black resistor you supply - could this be related and could I possibly order one anyway?

I was going to message you but thought it may be handy for others to see

Hey Frogsta,

You probably have a vacuum leave towards the back of the where the vac line from the throttle body goes. The lack of a restrictor would not be causing this problem

In addition to what I've mentioned, please follow the steps below to fault find the problem

Thanks Steve I'll have a look at home.
Is it possible to order a resistor anyway?

Edit; I need to see the PDF, I'm not sure what the plastic sleeve is or whether I have one. Also this vac line, does it connect through the t-piece and then go under the plenum?

Alright I got a PDF viewer on the phone. I mistook the resistor for the plastic sleeve, I actually have neither. Can I order them or should o just head to a wrecker?

frogsta,

As you have a VS, the restrictor won't fit, plus you have out mencal to suit a larger throttle body. With the TPS sleeve, you may still be able to get one from Holden or a wrecker, otherwise we could supply you with one. This item is VERY important, otherwise the TPS won't be able to accurately read the position of the throttle shaft

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Steve

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't have one in there.
Any idea what would happen if my IAC valve is stuffed? When I pull the sensor out, nothing happens.
How much would you want for a sleeve?

It will either idle high or stall

If you stab the throttle with it disconnected, it may stall

"How much would you want for a sleeve?"
Including delivery, $15

Hmmm idles about 900rpm sometimes but I think because engine is cold. It stalls turning left sometimes but feels like a fuel issue.
I'll do some testing though, cheers.
Prepare for an inbox on how to pay
