I have just replaced a new thermostat and a new water pump, everything is going good except now my temp gauge is not moving at all, i just took it for a 20 minute drive and the temp gauge stayed at the position when the car is turned off, any thoughts ??

You may have knocked off the TEMP Sensor cable located just to the right where you have working on your car.

Thanks for your replies, i noticed a green wire with a little black connection on the end of it, just hanging there near the thermostat but not pluged into anything at all, would that be the connection for it ? if it is, i can't see anything to connect it to, that is a shape for that connection..
    thanks

Yeah, the thin green wire with the black rectangular shaped connector on it is the one for the temp gauge sender. It connects on to a brass coloured nipple as such, basically just slides onto it from memory.
