Hey guys have a series 1 buick and previous owner has cut the connection to the temp gauge sender. My question is, can anyone tell where the sender wire traces back to exactly as i would like to have the factory gauge working. Cheers

They reside at the ECU,
By memory, I think in the Passengers Kick Panel.
the best way to trace them in this situation, is to use what they call is a "F Set", or similar.

I don't think the temperature gauge sender goes to the ECU, I think it goes directly to the cluster. However, I could be wrong, because I don't have a wiring diagram.
Edit: Actually I do have one (attached below), it doesn't show any input from the sender to the ECU.

If it's like the 5 litre there are 2 senders- one goes to the ECU and one to the cluster.

The attached drawing does show the yellow wire going to the ECU on pin C10
and the Black/Yellow wire goes to Pin D2, which is common to the TPS
