Temp sender/ sensor

Hey guys so I’m quite confused here as the black lead is supposed to connect to a plug but there is no plug for it to connect. Honestly don’t know what to do or how to fix it.
Iv attached a photo of mine (red painted housing) and a photo of a mates where it plugs into and what I’m missing
Any help is much appreciated cheers!

The inlet manifold is off a later model Ecotec that didn't need that sensor, solution is drill and tap with a 1/8 NPT.

Any chance you have the link of the fitting, once screwed in what plug do I need?

The connector and green wire should be in the loom unless you also have a later model loom fitted.

so drill a hole and place the sensor in and the black plug just connects to the top of it?

You will need a 21/64in drill bit or a 8.4mm drill bit and a 1/8 NPT tap.
