You will need a 21/64in drill bit or a 8.4mm drill bit and a 1/8 NPT tap.

Alright Think I might try the adapter first and see how that goes.

Anychance you could also run me through the steps of the other option; Drill hole with drill bit then what’s the tap used for? Then place the sender in and plug on top? - is the thread made by the drill bit for the sender to screw into?

Thread is made by the tapping die. Buy a quality tap as the cheap ones will break easy. Get someone else to do it if you have never tapped a thread before or use the top rad hose adaptor although the correct temp will not show on the gauge until the thermostat opens.

You need the bleed screw when getting air out of the cooling system.
