?
I know this might sound strange but I have a VT 1999 motor that I am using to put in another vehicle, but in contacting the supplier of the kit (V6 conversions) was told that I have to tap into the themo housing to install another temp sender. He assured me that all have to do is drill and tap it in the same place where the VS temp sender is.I thought the VT and the VS temp sender is in the same position. Can anybody shed some light to this claim?.

Are you talking about the coolant temp sensor (for ECU) or the coolant temp gauge sender....they are next to each other - is this for the temp gauge from a different vehicle?

The VT sensor supplies info for the ecu and temperature gauge

The VS has a sender for the temperature gauge, and a sensor for the ecu.

Like Hako said, the sender is located next to the ECU sensor - located directly below the thermostat.
