with the gates tensioner you cant fit the VN series one metal pulley with changeable bearing ...they have added webbing to the shaft and it fouls the pulley body but the plastic one's fit fine.....

How can you tell if you have a Gates tensioner?

NFI :) they are not marked afaik...have a look at the shaft the pulley slides on, the gates one has webbing that runs onto the shaft whereas the stock on doesn't

I know for sure the EP 002 will not fit as that was the one I was sold and found out it was too small by a mile.

Did you actually try fitting it to see if it worked? Random question but what serpentine belt are you using and have you replaced it before?

and this is the pulley that will fit on a stock tensioner but not the gates...shame as the bearing is cheap to replace and its shinny :)

yes i tried it and the belt was loose. I have replaced the belt twice and have an old one as well that i fitted from a wrecker that i used when i was waiting for the new one to arrive. I run a Dayco belt with A/C. I was only aware of two variations of belt for the VR V6.
