92 VP Calais
Greetings everyone my name is Michael, I’m 19 and I own an empire red 1992 VP Calais.

The eagle eyes will notice that this car is familiar and that’s because it is. This was owned by a member of Just Commodores, thestig who is my brother.
Anyone who followed his ride thread will know that the car was Supercharged with an SC-14 until it blew a head gasket and then fell out of registration during its time off the road.
This then lead to the car sitting around for years getting dirty and ageing.
To cut a long story short I wrote off my car, quite spectacularly I might add :p in December 2011.
Obviously I was in need of a car and after looking mainly at VX S Pac’s stig said I could buy the Calais off him if I was prepared to get it back on the road.. Which I was :D.
So 4 new tyres, reco’d steering rack, HD Link Pins and bushes and a Rear right taillight harness later the Calais was registered.

I'll be adding more pics of my interior, stereo install and the car when its clean coz right now it's not :(.

Below are the details…

The second best of the Commodore family ever made, the VP Calais! Nice car mate, the first being the two tone VH SLE.
Good luck.

Awesome! It's great to see the old girl back up and running. Look after her with a bit of TLC and she'll run for ever!

Ok so i've been pretty slack in updating this thread but rest assured work has been carried out on the Calais.

After getting it on the road I had the diff reco'd because its was for lack of a better word ####ed. I also finished my audio install by carpeting the kicker I built for the boot install. Then I just fixed up little bits and pieces here are there not worth mentioning but the biggest modification that was made just a couple of days ago was the new shocks and springs all around. I went with Super Low king springs front and rear with shortened rear shocks.

Anyway they say a picture is worth a thousand words so here you go.
