TH350 or TH400 auto trans?????????

    hey!
    ive just got myself a tight vr ss efi v8 motor and converting it to carby....so im lookin at gettin either a t350 or t400 tranny next wk to put behind it....any suggestions as to what would be the best to use?. theyre goin into a VH SLE.... "ease of fittment, tail shaft problems, mounting problems, t-bar positioning, (did have a trimatic in it).

    Turbo 350 for sure. Will fit straight in an early commo. Also much lighter than the Turbo 400.

    yeah im leaning towards the t350....what tailshafts are good to use with this setup?

    the standard trimatic tailshaft will fit the T350, and the box will bolt straight to your vs motor no adaptor plate needed. just get a gearbox x-member, sort the shifter out and maybe a speedo cable (its been a while since i did this swap)

    The real R series 355
    use a 6cly trimatic cross member and some 1/2 spacers to drop the cross member down
