    :::NEW UPDATE:::
    Monday 3rd August 2009

UPDATE: CV8 bar now on, pics bottom of page:::

Hey all, had a few things done to the car recently so time for 'My Ride'.

    Name: Jay Infanti (the kid)
Car: 2002 VX Series 2 Acclaim
    Bought: July 2006 for $12,000
    Kilometers then/now: 99,xxx/ 130,xxx
About: Car was stock when i bought it (got if from someone who worked for dad so i kinda knew it was well looked after. Spent a small amount of money on when i just got it on crap that i enjoyed at the time, so no regrets. Now i just want a car the im happy in and think looks good.

List of thing changes to the car:
    UPDATE: CV8 Monaro front
    Black Altezza headlights
    Colour coded sides and rear

    2 1/2" Redback Exhaust (Catback)
    K&N Panel Filter
Pioneer Head Unit, Sub and Amp
    BBOSS Eleanor 18's w/ Maxxis MAV-1's.
    Police Spec Brake Pads
RDA Slotted Rotors Front and Rear
Super Low King Fronts w/ Shortened Boge Struts
Super Super Low King Rears w/ 60mm Shortened Boge Shocks.
    Blue led dash
    Painted Dash Silver
    White Dash Facia
Neons in footwells (recently ripped out)
Clear Tailights Monaro Style. The DEPO ones.
    Blue parkers (recently ripped out)
    Tinted Windows
    ...think thats all.

Future changes (if any, gotta save for house):
    Leather interior (all black)
VZ Calais sunglasses holder/ roof light
    VY Steering wheel
Fix small dents around the car (i work on a golf course, and some people cant hit out of bunkers at the practise green, shanking balls into the car park)

Since its recently been lowered im pretty happy with how it looks now so i probably wont spend too much more on it, but ive said that before.

Yeah i like the colour, not many of them around.
Bit of an update, got TH3KID numberplates, white on black background. If you cant figure it out, last name is Infanti, so infant-i, gets "kid" from infant.

Picked up a CV8 monaro from bar last week, getting painted first week after xmas, and bout 1 hour ago, picked up a pair of VT Black Altezza headlights from 'Ephect'.
Might be getting to sideskirts and rear bar colour coded too which will be good if it happens. I'll post up a few pics soon, or after xmas when the front is on. Did a trial fit on the bar and it was unreal, looked so good and wasnt low to the ground so wont give me trouble. Feel free to comment on anything. Cheers

Ok, so ive made a start on the front and rear bar and side skirts, what im doing is getting the black strip on the rear bar colour coded and also getting the side skirts colour coded, them obviously get the cv8 front sprayed. Yesterday i went to me uncles factory and we made a start, well he did most of the prep and i took pics lol but anyway we got the rear bar finished, and primed the sides and rubbed em back, ready for paint on monday. We waited for the paint to dry and put the rear bar back on the car, it was a little soft to touch still but we chucked it back on anyway, only coz i didnt want to drive around without the rear. I left the monaro front and the sidies at his work and should pick them up tomorrow.
Here are some pics of our eventful day, i cant believe the paint came out so well:

Fark me, just went down to Patterson Cheney Holden to get some little screw for the sideskirts and rear bar, coz i busted all them on Saturday coz i didnt know how to get them out, and they were $3 each, ended up getting them for something like $2.13 but still, i needed 20 of them. There is 9 on each side skirt along the top and i just ripped them out, anyway i shouldnt be complaining coz i was my fault anyway, just another example of holden charging whatever they like for anything and everything.
Also got a price on fog lights, they are $135 each. Not sure whether to buy genuine or not, i know the non genuine ones, like from Narva, ect dont have as nice a look on the plastic so that may lead me to buy genuine, but the cost....ouch!
Give me any opinions on aftermarket fog lights as appose to real ones, worth paying top $$$ or not.....cheers

    Front bar here

hey timzo, i have KHFL-47SL in the front (im going by memory but its just standard Super Low King Spring) with 30mm Boge Shortened Strut, and KHRL46SSL (Again, from memory but i know for definate that its the Super Super Low spring from Kings, both to suit IRS, non Heavy Duty) and i got 60mm Shortened Shock in rear. Car is probably 2-3mm below legal but ive never been pulled up, coz its not stupidly low. Ive compared my car to my brothers, VX S (stock FE2), and i reckon mine isnt as hard as his, its pretty comfy, only thing is that he can still go over speed bumps at 20kmph where as im more like 5kmph. Never really bottom out unless i do speed bumps do quick, but hey, you learn and correct, then it becomes natural and you never really have any problems after that. Its never hassled me, and never once have i said to myself, maybe i should raise the back lol

    FIRST PICS HERE; CV8 FRONT
Finally got the bumper on too! Had a little bit of trouble as always but fits perfect, just took a while a line everything up right, the headlights arent as good as what i had hoped, but from the outside everything looks 100%
Fog lights will come and my brother has progress pics on his phone ill put up later, but here it is:::::

hey guys let me know what you think of the front now....

Also, looking at a different tail light set up, over the chrome lights. Here are a few options.
note: With the calais berlina garnish, im thinking both normal vx light or red monaro lights with it.

Does anyone else think that red monaro tail lights would look good combined with the calais/ berlina rear garnish???
    Give me your top 3!!!!!!!
