Thanks everyone who helped me fix my gearbox.:thumbsup:

As you know this was the first time I've ever pulled out a transmission, stripped it down and rebuilt it with a full bearing kit, keys, seals etc etc.

It was a challenge for sure and really got the old grey matter thinking especially improvising tools to get the job done.

Without your help I doubt if I'd have had success;)

good to hear, its a bit of a tricky job isn't it.

did you take the gearbox out without a hoist?

Yes stewy, you helped heaps as did many of the other blokes:thumbsup:

It's a tricky job alright, especially fabricating puller arms and presses etc to reach some of the bearings and stuff.

I didn't use a hoist, just jack stands and some big lumps of wood (tree stumps) propped up under the car to make sure she wouldn't drop on me.

Which part or parts did you find to be the trickiest mate?:)
