re upholster 60 to 70 percent of your car every 3 years
Now Now be nice. If you have your 2017 Calais in 2025 you might ask the same question like I'm asking now.

40 years ago you could buy a spray can branded cockpit new car smell (or such)... Only ever bought one can and it was the bees knees in new car smell  Sadly some years after buying the first can, I could no longer find it in shops

Maybe it was full of VOC’s and OH&S and product liability issues killed this great product

Yeah I know VOC‘s are bad...

I don’t know what was in that cockpit spray so can only guess why it seemed to disapear from the market.

You would think by today they would have made the same but did not use VOC products to make the smell but used something generic to have the same smell like it was before but friendly to humans.

I gave up on buying car air fresheners over the years. I found a much better way, and cheaper. Go to the supermarket and buy one of those little concentrated fabric softener refills (Cuddly etc). Lots of smells you can test in the store. Throw the plastic container under a seat or in a door storage bin. Lasts months. I used to like the fresh linen one :)
