Nice style of wheel YootDriver. You didn't mention what size you're after?

Have you thought about Speedy Cheetah's? They're that same mesh style but nicer IMO.

They are the ones I wanted - but a call to Speedys said that they dont fit the VE - that is why I've had to go with these, apparently they are $650 each and the wait is 16 weeks.

I'm sticking with the 18's for now - down the track I plan to do the OTR , exhaust and tune, lowering and wheels. These are a cheap compromise @ $260 per corner.

:hmmm: Must be because you're getting 18's.

The Speedy 20's definitely fit VE's. I've seen a couple with them on and I was actually offered a set by the dealership when I bought the car.

I decided against them only because I thought my Stamfords suit the black better...

I was just quoted $260 a wheel for Speedy Cheeta's 18inch , and have also been told that they will fit Ve, but require a spacer to do so.

Do not no a great deal about those type of things so not really sure about them now myself.

20's are completely out of the question for me, the roads just will not allow for them.

Cheers.

Not bad , what brand of tyres do you have on , Mags are a personnel choice, it goes well with the colour, yet I like chrome I am for the olden days

One of the reasons I stayed with the 18's was because I could transfer the new rubber off the factory mags - only a fortnight old! I'm happy with the grip and roadnoise of the 18's, today a set of Pedders Sports Ryder springs went on just to bring it down on top of the tyre esp the rear. Taking it in for it's 3000 klm checkover on monday - the workshop supervisor is about 20 years older than me and I'm 45, when I asked him about putting the springs in he gave me a lecture about warranty etc - haven't had a lecture about anything since I was in school so it should be interesting when I roll up lowered with mags :surprise:

I remember when you were king of the road if you had a set of dragways and Yokahama 352's on whatever you were driving - I had an orange with black GT stripe escort panel van, it was great for burning a different kind of rubber :rofl2:

cheers John
