The only barbell you can add weight to is on the smith machine.

That sucks how do u squat and dead lift or can't there?

Plus, at the END of they day. Who gives a **** what others think. I know that's a hard attitude to be comfortable with but it's the best attitude.

Who cares if the bloke other there who is using 35kg DB's gives you a sideways look because you are using the 15's. You're not there to impress or validate yourself to him, you are there for you because you want to make yourself better. And that's enough.

Good to see a thread like this.

Starting weight: 53kgs @ 176cms (very underweight back then) after about a year of solid training and good eating i am currently 65kgs @ 180cms and i plan to get to the 75kg mark by mid next year.

Training: weights 3 times a week

Eating: protein shakes 3 times a day with 5-6 meals

Done through the smith machine. Which really takes the balance aspect out of it.

hey guys just got back from my first gym session!

was there for about an hour, hour and a half and really enjoyed it..

i cant remember everything i did but it was all upper body, arms are pretty useless at the moment,

tomorrow i will call up and organise a personal training induction thing that they offer and get a personal plan made up and see how i go!

FYI, shredding season sucks ass. Have to miss a meal to stay under my calories, missing carbs from key parts of my diet (namely post workout meal)....AAAAAAAAAARGH
