This is a thread for plastic model kits, or die cast that's been modded, basically for anything that is built, not bought.

Also a good place for tips, tricks, hobby shops, websites and general information.

Things I don't want to see are hotwheels, matchbox, trax, biante, classic collectables, ect.
Unless of course they've been modified to suit your taste.

I've been getting into some balsa model aircraft making recently. Just completed one of the Guillows P-51D kits (the easier model) and have test-flown it a few times... Not quite straight but it's the first one I've done in years :) I have a Spitfire in the works, and an Albatros D-5 that I haven't started on yet.

I'd love to make something epic like one of the B-17 models but they're so expensive and I'd worry that I wouldn't do it justice :)

So I'll go.

I've built models for a while, mainly plastic kits and mainly 1:24 scale.

I don't seem to finish any and I can't have them stock.
Buick gsx,
This one is stock apart from wheels and lack of spoiler.

65 elcamino
Tunnel rammed small block on tall Tyres.

69 mustang, stock

56 nomad. Soon to be pulled apart maybe

The ones that were broken in my last house move, I played with them! Now they're part of a crash scene, maybe I could do derby cars?

And the latest build, been nearly 3 years.
Hk premier.
Plymouth chassis and big block tunnel rammed hemi, 300c zorst and 69 mustang firewall.

I'll eventually get into planes when I have room, and my own house maybe, they'd look awesome hanging from the ceiling through the house!

I haven't built a balsa plane since high school.

I've even got a yacht hull setup for r/c that ill eventually get to!

I've got around 150 diecast cars. Mainly 1/18, 1/43 & 1/64 from Biante, CC and Trax with a few odds ones here and there. This is the only picture I actually have. This is was most of my 1:64 collection a couple of years back.

Have been wanting to start model kits for years but always been too many other avenues of interest commanding money for me to even consider it.
didnt read first post?

You seem to be pretty damn good at it! The alter nomad is pretty awesome, I want one!

I'm not quite as good as I want to be, but I'm really only as good as my tools and patience allow me to be!

Woop my bad its late. I did mod a few hotwheels cars a couple of years back. I'll try and dig up some photos of them.

i am currently doing an engine swap to my 1.18 HG Monaro 350, i am replacing it with a chev motor that is from a bigger scale chevy belair so the motor is a bit bigger

i might try and lower it a bit too if i can

i might paint those chrome hoses black to give it a more realistic look
