Yeah I like it, already driven the CDX in petrol. Drives nice do need to rev it to about 4g to get it up and going. Other than that feature wise its great love the lcd flip up display thats fantastic! store your phone wallet etc. If it were to have the US variants 177kw motor this would sell quite nicely.

Well, got my first close look at a white Malibu today and can't help feeling my initial impressions were right. The styling isn't very interesting at all and I can't see it knocking off the segment leaders in its intended market. It will probably sell a lot better than the Epica but what does that mean? The first pics we saw of a Chev Malibu looked far more impressive. It definitely needs something to give it some real chance of success. More aggressive styling, better wheels, decent colours could all help. The interior is ok but again, no better than the competition.

Its another daewoo tested in the USA for many years. Just like the Epica, Cruze, Captiva, Barina and many bitd and pieces of the VE and morethan likely... VF. Not saying its a problem, but they use the Daewoo manufacturing plant to bring down peoduction costs, unfortunately its not reflected in the final price tag.... might as well import me a Daewoo Statesman.

I think you need to consider what the Malibu is supposed to be. It's aimed at the stripper fleet market that used to be filled by your povo Exec and Acclaim Commodores in years gone by. Compared to a Camry and similar and it does quite well. If you want or expect anything more then you will be disappointed. Holden are repositioning the Commodore more up market and thus the Malibu is filling the cheapie medium large/medium budget end of the market.
