here's the latest, calais interior, got the dash and seats in/working fine, electric windows are out of the calais as well as the wiring, just have to install it, that's next weeks job,

going to make a custom boot interior, got the wood for it, planning on getting a 3000 watt single channel for a sub - or two ha ha and throw it in the boot, bit later on i'll be getting a four channel for the 6x9's that i have inside the cabin and am going to install 2 more in the boot

however, the real plan is coming, alot of design is going to have to go into this one,

plan: 1x dc inverter, 1x 15" lcd tv, 1x dvd player, all up about $550 i'll be looking at for that setup, however the problem is i have now idea where i should put it, i welcome anybody's creative input!!

cheers,
alex

cheers, after wiring up the dash i feel i can tackle any wiring ha ha, especially once i've done the electric windows, i have plenty of mdf so will make boxes for stuff and carpet it all, dvd will go on the parcel shelf, so i've got that one sussed, just where to put the tv that's my main problem, where it wont get trashed but can be viewed fine still, enjoy thinking!! it's great thinking of designs and new stuff to do! exciting

Just a q why are you using a dc convertter. LCD tvs are 12v well most of them then all you have to do it get a dvd had unit to say even mount in the boot for the dvd player.

And i got an idea where to put the dvd screen. fit it to the under side of your boot lid. so when you open the boot it turns on or something. You might have to re-arrange the way the boot opens but yeah .

i'm referring to just a normal household one, yes i've thought about the boot also, would probably put it off to the side of the centre seat fold down part, going to put subs off to the drivers side of the boot, only thing is, the bass from the subs might fully screw with the tv, fair bit of vibration.

the electric windows are starting to go in, got drivers side rear door bolted in, took about half hour
