This morning I saw a HX Monaro sedan in good nick too. then this arvo a nice HQ Premier station wagon.
Last month I posted a pic of a beautifully restored FJ sedan at the local shops.
Seeing lots of old Holdens lately ...:D

Man, I wish I'd kept my HZ Panel van, it had the Monaro or Premier front grill with the twin headlights, GTS dash and 253 V8
I had a full respray in a light metallic gold which changed colour slightly in the sunlight, black powder coated bumpers, all the chrome trim was done in a satin black, new door and tailgate rubbers, side mirrors, new carpet, from Rare Spares, engine rebuild...
When I find the photos that are packed away at my sisters place interstate I will scan them and post some pics.

My old man had a near new HR sedan when I was a young bloke, and later a mint condition HQ Premier sedan with 253 V8 Tri-matic
(plus an FJ sedan with a big six setup with roll cage for stock car racing at the old Melbourne Speedway - back in the 70's).
My uncle had a mint condition HK Monaro GTS

Was the speedway named Brooklyn?
Yep...that's the one :D my father and uncle raced stock cars there regularly.
I enjoyed the Sprintcar races and bikes too.
I loved going there as a kid, and always got to hang in the pit area with the drivers

Went to the Brooklyn Drive-In movie theatre many times....

Never went there myself.
I did wonder what happened to that track over the years?

Built out and surrounded by endless residential housing developments, shops and/or light industrial.

There's Avalon Raceway at Lara, not far from Geelong.

The Bus
Had a couple of emails from SCA telling me to come and collect my order. The girl behind the counter who comes into my work says 'here for your online order, there's three'?? No wonder I was getting reminders I thought I only had one thing to pick up and that was my workshop press attatchments. Nope I had paint, and kero there too that I had forgotten about since I no longer have a car.

What's the deal with nose hair now I've reached middle age?
I have to trim them at least twice a month or my nostrils will resemble a porcupine
And I'm not very hairy
Never pluck your nose hair !!!
