I was thinking of getting a v8 ute late last year, the stupid prices put me off. Was really keen on getting another vy series 2 ss, couldn't find one for under $20k

Ive seen people asking over $20k for VU SS. I've also seen VE SSVs for $20k. There are plenty of dreamers out there but unless they find a sucker, people are not getting $20k or more for old SS utes, like VU - VZ unless they are HSV. Emailing some seller's and they believe that $20k plus for old utes are actually selling at that price. But watch them long enough and you soon realise they aren't.

Not yet. I will have almost $16k this week saved up but they seem to be about $24k including rego and transfers, for something decent. Finding one locally is hard they mainly come up in Hobart at a fair price. But still see plenty of dreamers who think they are sitting on a gold mine....

Yeah like I saw on Carsales someone selling a 2000 Grange for $32k, even has ripped seats.

I keep telling my son there is a huge difference between what something is actually worth and what people are selling them for. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. A W1 going for $600k doesn’t mean that’s what it’s worth.

I agree with immortality that yes absolutely the W1 is rare especially being a numbered build but not something that was like $170,000 in 2017 to $600k + only 4 years later

Holy crap, a year ago or so a VF II Calais Director was $90k. WTAF has gone wrong with the world when I see they are now going for $150k :eek:

1983 vh v8 sle 2000 vs v8 ute 2012 ve11 redline
There is an article in today's Waikato Times about the price of cheese. Mainland tasty cheese appears to be the dearest at over $18 per KG. Many others are around the $14-$15 dollar range Mainland cheese a product of NZ is the dearest here at a bit over $13 a KG. Most others are around the $8 mark. Sorry to all our Kiwi friends but you are getting screwed.

Coles often has Mainland at around $10 kg on special. I bet the same applies for our Tasmanian Ashgrove cheese and milk. I bet you Qld'rs get it cheaper than we do.....
