I did 4 things today and the sweek and rattle is gone. - for now!!

(It sounded like it was comming from the left front door. I took trim of the other day skweek still there - trim back on.)

1 Put grease on the bonnet catch - it was dry
2 CRC on the bonnet hinges - not tight but just in case
3 CRC on the links to the sway bar - dont know what they are called
4 Masking tape on the kick plate and door seal front left door only.

    Very happy.

Next I'll remove the tape and see if the skweek comes back.

That gives me an idea, actually... I may rub some grease into my bonnet pin and spring, to help it slide back and open more easily. I spent a whole day pulling back and tightening the bonnet cable after it slacked right out, so it'd be nice to keep it crisp :)

My bonnet's a little off to the right, so the pin doesn't slide straight in/out of the latch. it rubs heavily on the side... so maybe some grease will help it out. Will let you know :)

Undo the pin and move it over a bit eg 3mm out of alignment - move pin 3mm. See how ya go.

Removed the tape from the door seal for the trip to work and no skweek. Thats travelling down Commercial Rd Pt Noarlunga South - (that road will make anything skweek).

So it looks like the bonnet spring may have been it...Just add some grease!!!

bah. I think I'll need a bigger wrench :p I assume you mean unscrewing the pin from the underside of the bonnet? Bastard's too big. Good thing they built a Bunnings down the road from my place...

Could be the door seal. I chased a squeeking in my door for 6 months. 2" masking tape over the kick plate and seal ='d squeek gone.

Should replace the door seal if that shuts it up.

You put some grease on the door trim pins. I didnt think of that one! Are your door trims loose? My door trims appear to be very snug. (have re-glued the pins many times before)
