With a decent E/T I should see low 14s E/Ts, front runners, no seats apart from a drivers bride bucket seat damn thing weighs 7kgs!, get rid of bumper reos, 90/10 rear shocks and stock springs should get into 13's and it's still a daily
Been reading too many copies of Street Machine magazine.
90/10's go in the front to help transfer weight to the rear, low rebound rate with a high compression rate.
ET's are a radial so you wouldn't run a cross ply front runner.

90/10's, no reo, no interior and 'it's still a daily'...............really:s

**** yeah, don't get hassled at all on the street, I know all the local police by name after someone tried to steal it a few times as long as you respect them they'll do the same to you.

Very good results there j-man.
You start with traction issue's but find more grip as the day went on?? 11sec street car :spot on:

p.s leave early on the third orange, (shallow stage) and get those R/T's down.

got bit of a write up in my build thread
http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vb-vc-vh-vk/163704-vh-sl-e-355-a-33.html

didn't have traction issues at all through the night....I was more so babying it off the line and getting the feel for the launches....not too concerned for the R/T's as it only timing, just need to get my 60ft times down to 1.6....my MPH says I have a potential 11.2 in it

Went for a skid today:
half worn 225's on the rear, didn't drop pressures, standard stall & Diff gears. Mostly concerned about data and tuning:

16.2 @ 93.6 (half to 3/4 throttle as a shack down first pass, and data record did not work correctly)
15.2 @ 100mph easy launch full throttle from second. (data record was working fine)
14.2 @ 100.88, 14.599 @ 100.84 <- I think this was the first run with rear muffler removed.
changed tune, 15.14 @ 98.13, 15.02 @ 98.6.
Had some lunch and went back to the earlier tune, 14.5 @ 100.85, 14.35 @ 100.4.
Removed all data logging as it seemed obvious that something in the data was not correct. Went back out for a few more while the line up was short (very short)
Gave it heaps, 14.3 @ 100.97, 14.128 @ 101.28 & 14.122 @ 101.65.

I'm going back in 2weeks with near new 245 street tyres under the rear. We will see if/how that helps.
Plus more live tuning.

edit: Quick online calculator suggests that a good launch that results in a 101.65mph should be a 13.31 1/4mile.
I better look for some more traction to see if I can get down to that.

Went racing again today:
found that Wideband was not giving readings today for some reason, hmmm

results:
14.294 @ 99.94, added 1deg timing everywhere = 14.05 @ 99.49
added another degree everywhere = 13.987 @ 100.28 and then stopped for lunch.
Elim 1 = win with 13.995 @ 100.75 on a 13.95 dial (.133 R/T)
Elim 2 = win with 14.115 @99.92 on same dial (.110R/T, opposition red-lite)
Elim 3 = -.020R/T loss, sunk the boot and ran 14.162 @ 100.46 (14.0 dial)

Grudge race 1 against Beaker = 13.957 @ 100.33
Grudge race 2 = 13.94 @ 100.28. It was the most fun race of the day, where the lead changed hands several times versus a BAII ute, (manual, cams, intake, exhaust, tune)

I lost on a holeshot by .0514 But we both ran PB's. :spot on:

Also, I don't think that the online calculators are very good for ET prediction.

Nahh, those are based on perfect traction and gearing, something you're definitely not even close too. Ideally you should be crossing the finish line just past peak power.
