Drive - Holden Commodore Could get a Twin Turbo V6

I'm still not convinced it's worthwhile, unless Holden needed the Volumes to keep their V6 engine plant ticking over.

Any turbo 6 Holden make will mostly cut into their own V8 sales and take very little business off competitors. And the V8's are cheaper to produce than the the V6 so Holden would just sell the same amount of cars, but just make less money out of it. I'd love to see it happen but It doesn't seem practical unless they had an export market for the twin turbo

The engine does exist, I've known about it since late last year, wether it will be used is another question. Regardless I still would like to see a performance orientated turbo car in the line up, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I would still like to see it.

It's a bit like I would have loved to have seen the V12 GM was going to build(in Australia) by joining two LLT's together. It never got off the ground, but I still would like to see it.

GM put the twin turbo 3.6 SIDI in the new Cadillac for 2014, 290rwkW and 590Nm does same 0-100 time as an SS, FG XR6T:
