alright ive got a s2 91 vn and it has just had the coil pack and dfi replced (thanks mat) anyway the reason they were replaced is cause when the car did about 2 hours of drive time (even stopping for a lil) then sitting in a bit of traffic it idled like a pig and then died now wasnt hot enough till yesterday but even with the new pack and dfi it died again im guessing CAS but can anyone confirm or give a better insight to why my car continues to hate me :p

cheers ppls

all roads lead to CAS im afraid.

Be aware when buying a replacement CAS that there are two types.

Next time it cuts out after getting hot try pouring water on the CAS and see if it starts.

Don't go by when the fuel pump was last replaced. Turns out thats what was wrong with my white VN, and the fuel pump had last been done in under 3 months.

But, of course, I debated it, "coz it was only just done" and replaced the CAS, coil packs and DFI module. That made no difference, so I gave up, till it decided to run after a guy kicked the bottom of the fuel tank or something, and by then it had 2 days left of rego.

So yeah, get the fuel pump checked regardless of when it was last replaced.
