some great family friends (and i mean awesome, thanks heaps!!!) had this just lying around (haha to them) and let me have it for free since i didnt have a running car. 1980 VB SL model, wagon with LPG 4.2 Carby Red Engine Stock everything else except for the awesome little chrome 14'' mags which i love! The exhaust is basically 2.5 inch after the manifolds (no cat converter on this one! and its stock) the body isnt great but everthing works, all the gauges, the fan, powersteering (for a car this age its awesome just to even have) mods? Fix the body work (u cant see all the dents on the other side and small pits of rust) and the a nice respray.
Nice score, have fun with it mate. What i have learnt is its good to have one **** car to learn to do up. At the moment i just bought a 1980 daihatsu charade (laugh it up), it needs a head gasket (worth 3 times as much as i payed for the car) but what i will learn from this little beast is priceless, and i aint wrecking my good car in the meantime, and if i do ever need to do mine, ill no how.
