LOL, i laugh so hard everytime i see a V6 Commodore entered in a burnout comp.....Why embarrass yourself like that? It's funny when you see a V6 followed by a blown, injected big block that shreds the tyres in under a minute. Really makes you realise how lame the previous car was!

Who cares man, i doubt he paid much more then a case and is just going out to powercruise for a bit of fun and to thrash it, it might go bur bur bur bur but imo it's fun to watch the vn v6's getting thrashed and doing skids.

Yeh, fair call, but go to small local burnout comps. Not Powercruise, Summernats and the like.

Each to their own i guess. But IMO, they need to stop cars like this entering shows that have a cut off of entrants because more worthy cars might miss out....

Down here we love it when the big blown cars enter the burnout comps and get smashed by the locals in 5 litre VN's :) either by superior driving or the fact that they don't break half way into it :)

Thats a valid point also. Although summernats where a little low on entrants imo. I have no idea about powercruise though but i see where your comming from if they do cut off entrants with "more respectable" cars. But then again it's better hes having fun on the track rather then on the streets and endangering others.

Totally agree with that mate. I'm not saying that he go on the street and do skids. The point is, there are a lot of people (myself included) around the car show scene getting annoyed with cars like this being allowed into major cars shows, when it clearly states on the entry form that "sub standard and near stock cars will be refused". Also, they don't just take up a spot in the burnout comp, they take an entry to the car show aswell.

There are plenty of local burnout comps around, that are intended for anyone that wants a bit of fun....Sorry to all if i sound rude, but this is a subject that really annoys me.

At major car shows, it's quiet the opposite, everyone loves the blown cars...There's just something about a Blown, Mechanical injected Big Block that makes the hairs on the back of you neck stand on end :D

To OP: Mate, if you do enter powercruise, atleast do as you said and put a locker/spool in it. There is one thing worse than seeing a standard car trying to do a burnout, and thats a standard single pegger car trying to do it.....

dude i dont no how Phillip Island powercruise is but the sydney powercruise burnout compp does not refuse entrants at all no matter how many cars there are last year there was 2oo cars and the only reason they had that was bcoz no one else wanted in and it has been built for the wife to do it coz the blown car in the shed coz it dosnt like doing this why waste a 50k motor to do some thing a $500 car can do mate its a bit of fun read the powercruise entrant form

Actually, all it does is deter people from wanting to do it legally. Its no fun when you go to have a good time, and some dude who has a tyre sponsorship always walks away with the prize money ;)

Burnouts comps (like most things) are judged on points. If you don't have the power to match the proper burnout cars, it's quiet obvious your're not going to win...:p Gone are the day of guys winning burnout comps without a blower! Every time i see burnout comps an old saying comes to mind, "you're not known unless your blown".

Which is the problem within burnout comp circles.
Personally i got out of it after seeing a dude get beaten in front of his kids, all over drugs (and the guys doing the beating were those guys with the blown cars that always won the comps). Was not a scene i wanted anything to do with
